Axel Lower Control Arm
High Quality Production Tool
A customer in the automotive industry had a part that wasn’t functioning properly, as the bushings that were pressed into the part were turning rather than staying in place. We worked closely with their engineering team and the builders of the bushing press machine to develop a better fit for the bushing. Prior to shipping the die to the stamping vendor, we did a 200 piece test run in our 400 ton Brown Boggs press to insure that the quality issues were resolved. The end result was a high quality production tool that was consistent in holding the tight tolerance of the extended hole to meet the specs that were required.

Wheel lug for heavy off-road mining and construction equipment
Multi-Station Progressive Die
A manufacturer of heavy off-road mining and construction equipment needed to lower its cost per part. We took a part that was produced in a 5 station hand transfer tool making 60 parts an hour and developed a multi-station progressive die that produces 50 pieces a minute.

Progressive Two Out Die with In Die Tapping
An appliance manufacturer wanted to reduce their cost per part. We worked closely with their engineers to produce a production tool with in-die tapping to eliminate secondary operations.

Gage wheel bracket for riding lawn mower.
Progressive Die with Ready Benders
The original drawings received by the manufacturer were not able to produce parts. We worked with their Development Engineer to revise the drawings to improve part design and function. We also developed new location of embosses for ease of manufacturing. Final result was a high quality progressive die that produced the parts to spec.

Progressive Die
A supplier of parts used on recreational vehicles wanted to reduce their cost per part. We developed a new way to put external threads on a part to eliminate secondary machining operations, saving the customer time and money.

High Precision Tool
Produced a high precision tool to manufacture this stainless steel part. Also produced a secondary tool to bend it 90°.

Splice Bracket
A customer in the Fabric Structures business was having troubles with the hole quality being produced with brackets that play a vital role in the structural integrity of the buildings they produce. This customer was having their parts lasered and then formed. Die Makers worked with the customer to pin point their exact wants and needs. DMK then designed and produced a three station coil fed die to first crop the bracket, then form, and finally pierce (6) .656” holes on a 3” radius. Thus creating a part with zero hole distortion.

Raised Aluminum Panels
A Window and Door producer was looking for a low cost solution to varying sized door panels to be used in their door assemblies. Die Makers Mfg, following customer defined specifications produced low cost 4140 tooling that would produce the quantities and sizes they were looking for. Die Makers did this all while keeping costs transferred to the customer to a minimum.

Sill Plate
Machining with Probe
A Window and Door producer was having issues with the extrusions used in producing their door sills varying from batch to batch. Die Makers Mfg setup a Haas VF-2 vertical CNC 3 Axis Mill with a spindle probe to pick up and adjust coordinate offsets to provide next to perfect machining on varying types of extrusions.

Precision Roller Chain
Reshoring Metal Stampings Package
A Mechanical Power Transmissions producer was getting Metal Stamped products from overseas. This caused many issues for them including very lengthy lead times, raw materials that did not meet specs, and ANSI Standard Dimensional Issues. Die Makers Mfg worked with the customer and rebuilt 60+ Compound and Progressive tools to produce high quality parts in the USA while holding +/- .0003 Tolerances.
